CAPT needs your written furlough denials NOW!
Editor's note: Don't forget to check out our fill-in-the-blanks form if you've been denied furlough time off.
We’ve asked for written denials of furlough time off before,
but if you haven’t sent yours to us, NOW IS YOUR
CHANCE.
A calendaring mistake by the state means that our
furlough-lawsuit hearing – originally scheduled for
January 15 – had to be rescheduled for March 19.
But when Sacramento Superior Court Judge Timothy
Frawley rescheduled the hearing, he said our case was very
important and that he wanted to see even more evidence
of furlough-use denials.
We’ve already got a lot of these documents in to the judge,
but the hearing delay gives us an opportunity to gather
more evidence for him. So send us your written furloughuse
denials by February 3 so we can add them to our
court documents!
Bring them by your chapter office, or fax them
to CAPT Headquarters at (916) 329-9145.
